Group coaching is designed either to improve a particular group’s performance through team building and understanding or to work with a group of like-minded individuals seeking help in one particular area of their life. When seeking the help of a life coach, you may be more comfortable in a group setting:
• You can limit your participation to a level you are comfortable with
• You can benefit from a number of different perspectives and life experiences
• Group discussions often lead to new insights
• New levels of support can be found
• Positive and meaningful friendships can be formed
• Group sessions are less expensive than individual coaching
Group coaching works well for topics such as career guidance, family issues, retirement planning and financial advice. Some of those who have participated in group coaching go on to individual coaching to address specific issues and find effective solutions to immediate conflicts or challenges.
