Personal relationships
While personal relationships can be very rewarding, they can also be very complex and challenging. Every relationship, whether it is someone from your immediate family, a friend or a coworker, can be dramatically different and have its own unique set of challenges.

Relationships in the workplace have their own dynamics. There is a structure that defines and dictates your role, your responsibilities and who you interact with. In many cases, you simply have to get along with a coworker (no matter how much you dislike them) to make it easier for you, the coworker and everyone else involved. Sometimes, a fresh perspective and a bit of self examination goes a long way in effectively dealing with difficult coworkers and finding more enjoyment in your work.

How about your personal dynamics? Outside of your family relationships, are you attracting the right kind of people (those that are positive, happy, supporting, etc.) or do you tend to make friends with those that you can complain and commiserate with? Did you know that just a slight change in attitude and approach can help you surround yourself with those who truly want the best for you in life?

Close, intimate relationships require an investment of time and attention. You may think that because they are the most rewarding, they involve the most risk. Not so! There are a number of things you can do to find true joy out of your intimate, close relationships without feeling vulnerable, needy or worried about being hurt or abandoned.
